Ingame Name: Aymu What would you like changed?: Add the KitPvP server back to DC Why should it be changed?: I keep hearing players continuously reminiscing on the old KitPvP server and it might boost the server's player count a bit Things to be added?: (I'm not a 1.12 expert, so if I suggest something that won't work, please feel free to nicely correct me with your own ideas below. These are just a few ideas in case DC is thinking of bringing the KitPvP server back.) Let's begin discussing possible kits. I suggest that we go back to using the leather kits. I remember the only problems we had with those kits is that they broke too easily and the sword was too weak compared to the armor. Other than that, those kits guaranteed nothing but fair fights for all ranks. Allowing players to wear their favorite colors was just a bonus, which sometimes resulted in silly games like "color wars." If we figure out a way to make them last longer and boost up the sharpness, I don't see why people would complain about them. Secondly, bows have always been controversial in the KitPvP community. I personally think all kits should carry them just as they did before. They were pretty helpful when a hacker logged on and staff weren't around to deal with it. I only ask that they aren't overpowered. Let it be used as a secondary weapon, not a primary. As for healing, I suggest splash potions of healing. Our previous "healthing" method lacked any skill. Most players would stand in place and shove golden apples down their throats, which resulted in a huge waste of time. Especially with how overpowering the regen on golden apples is in 1.12. As for health pots, not everyone knows how to throw them correctly, so it could result in even the best pvpers to die in an instant. Potions add pressure to even the best players, while they try to quickly get their potions neatly in their hot bars. It overall makes fighting feel more intense. You could also have "refill stations" around the map instead of having players take the easy way out and use the /kits command. These refill stations would be the heart of most fights since everyone would want to get to them. Speaking of getting people to fight, a nice addition would be a King Of The Hill platform. Where a single player who stands on a platform for a certain amount of time gets rewarded with something harmless which they would be able to use in battle. This would result in a lot of competition within players in order to get that reward. Having pvp tags would also be a nice add. After a certain amount of kills, a player "levels up" and gains a cool tag next to their name. The more kills they achieve, the cooler the tag. That's more of a pvp motivator, in order to keep people interested. If you're thinking of bringing the server's currency to KitPvP too, having a bounty plugin could possibly be a motivator too. As for ideas, that is all I got. Hopefully the other people who want KitPvP to return, provide their own ideas below as well or support my own.
